What ChefAdmin collects, and why.

ChefAdmin is a kitchen-operations platform made by Godark, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This page says in plain English what we collect when you use ChefAdmin, what we do with it, who else touches it, and how you get it back or delete it. We would rather you read this than skip it, so it is short.

The short version

We collect what the product needs to work: your name and email to run your account, and the recipes, photos and voice notes you put in so we can turn them into a cookbook. We do not sell your data, we do not show adverts, and we do not use your recipes to train anything for anyone else. You can export everything and delete your account yourself.

What we collect

Account

Your name and email address, and a password we store only in hashed form. Used to sign you in, to tell you about your own account, and to reply when you write to us.

Recipes and content

The recipes, ingredients, methods, categories, brands and notes you create or import. This is your data; we hold it so you can use it.

Photos

Pictures you take or upload of a dish or a recipe card. We use them to draft the recipe and we keep them attached to that recipe. We do not read your photo library; the app only receives the images you choose.

Voice notes

When you dictate a recipe the audio is sent to our server to be turned into text. The text becomes your draft. The audio is discarded once the text has been produced; we do not keep a library of recordings.

Kitchen data

If your company runs ChefAdmin on the desktop, the operational data it holds (stock, purchases, sales lines, costs) belongs to that company and is governed by our agreement with them.

Technical

Ordinary server logs (IP address, device type, timestamps) and error reports, kept for security and to fix faults. We use privacy-respecting website analytics on chefadmin.com that do not use cookies to track you across sites.

We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or anything from your device beyond what is listed above. We do not use an advertising identifier.

Why we use it

To run the product: sign you in, store your recipes, draft a recipe from a photo or a voice note, show your cookbook on your phone and on the web.
To keep the service working and safe: fix faults, prevent abuse, secure accounts.
To talk to you about your account, such as a password reset or a change to these terms. We do not send marketing email to app users who have not asked for it.
To improve ChefAdmin, using aggregate patterns of how it is used, never by reading individual kitchens' recipes for our own purposes.

Who else sees it

Nobody, for their own purposes. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instruction and under contract, and only to deliver the product: cloud hosting for the application and its database, a speech-to-text service that turns voice notes into text, an AI service that helps draft a recipe from a photo or a transcript, an email service for account messages, and a payment provider for paid plans on the web (we never see your card number). None of them may use your data for anything else.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We will disclose it if the law requires us to, and we would tell you if we were allowed to.

Your own AI assistant

If you choose to connect your own AI assistant to ChefAdmin through the agent door, that assistant reads your data under your own sign-in, read-only, only while you keep the connection. What the assistant's provider does with what it reads is governed by their terms, not ours. Disconnect it from your assistant's settings at any time.

Where it is kept and for how long

Data is stored on cloud infrastructure operated for us, protected in transit and at rest. We keep your account and content for as long as your account exists. Voice audio is discarded after transcription. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and then deleted. When you delete your account we remove your personal data and your personal recipes within thirty days, except for records we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it, and we will do it. Export is built in: your recipes come out in standard formats from your account. If you live somewhere with specific data-protection law, such as the UK, you have the rights that law gives you and we will honour them. Write to info@godark.ai for anything you cannot do yourself in the product, and we will answer within a few working days.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, without asking us:

In the app: Settings, then Delete account. Confirm, and it is done.
By email: write to info@godark.ai from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.

Deletion removes your account and the personal data tied to it. If you belong to a company workspace, the company's operational data remains with the company. The delete your account page has the same steps on their own.

Children

ChefAdmin is a professional tool for people who work in or run kitchens. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that matters, we will say so in the app or by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top will change. Small wording fixes will just be made.
